A permit to burn will only be issued if it is absolutely essential for fire control purposes and alternatives such as mulching, use of Council’s green waste collection service or transfer to Council’s Landfill site are not suitable or practical options.
From 1 June to 30 September
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO INSTEAD OF BURNING
Mulch your waste or dispose of it through the City’s green waste collection service each spring and autumn;
